What does it mean to be inspired? |
Inspiration is a natural instinct, an attraction, a magnet, which guides you in the realization of the photos.

|
How important to you is your photographic research ? |
My photographic research is a vital source for continuing my job as a
photographer. It provides me with the right energy to face each day
and when I’m inspired – I’m attracted by the subject and I can’t stop,
it’s like feeding a great appetite, like following orders that come
from a superior power which is impossible to resist.
|
|
Are there any rules you use when you carry out
your work ? |
In my opinion creation without technique and its rules doesn’t exist.
I personally respect the rules of artistic composition, such as the
“rule of the thirds’’, which is particularly used in painting techniques,
and the ‘’art section rules’’ which were praised by the ancient Greeks.
This is the fruit of my personal culture and experience which have
matured in time.
|
|
Well, what is your concept of culture ? |
Talking about “culture’’ is like facing a never ending topic, according
me, it’s impossible to define the meaning of “culture’’, but based on
my own experience, “culture’’ is the level of knowledge regarding a
determined topic, but in general it has a much wider sense that is
continually evolving and in search of innovation.
|
|
How would you define “Style” ? |
According to me, style is the perfect combination between Inspiration,
Technique and Personal culture. It determines the way in which the
artist expresses his work and how it is recognizable by others, without
bearing the artist’s signature.
This is why, in my interpretation, I try to
follow one style, one rule, one line and one set of ethics that help me
to freely express myself and render my work easy to recognize.
|
|
What led you to becoming a professional photograph ? |
My artistic course began with painting, a means of expression discovered
in my childhood, which evolved with my discovery of photography.
I found photography to be a more interesting and probably quicker way
to express my appreciation of nature and the surrounding landscapes.
Now, after 25 years since the beginning of my activity, I have to say that
although my work has matured immensely I have managed to maintain
the child’s instinct which helped me at the beginning of my journey.
